Many are not aware of this feature, so it suffice to say that this is an awesome trick to know.
This is particularly helpful if you suddenly run out of data or you are stranded in a place with no network connection, as you would be able to access a saved map.

HOW TO SAVE GOOGLE MAPS FOR OFFLINE ACCESS (ANDROID/IOS)

** Go to your Google maps.

** Zoom into the location you want to save for offline viewing and In your search bar type “OK Maps”.

** You can also use voice command to input the ” OK Maps”. But be careful so your phone won’t read it as “okay”.

** It takes about 10 seconds for the map to download depending on the size of the map and your internet connection speed.

** You are good to go once you see “The on-screen map area has been cached” being displayed on your screen.
