How To Leave Facebook Groups

How To Leave Groups On Facebook

It's quite boring or rather annoying to see yourself added to unimportant, better still irrelevant groups on Facebook and you find yourself receiving bunch of updates you did not bargain for.
It actually struck me to write this article, when a Friend called me lamenting that I should remove him from a group I had earlier added him to. It's not a crime to add your friends to groups but when they don't want to, you just have to respect their decision.
If you are added to groups you don't want, why not remove yourself. Did I hear you say  how? Worry not, here's how.

To leave any Facebook groups can be done in 3 ways
1. Using Facebook App
2. Using your phone browser e.g Opera mini
3. Using a Computer

1. Using Facebook App

* login in to your account on Facebook and view your profile. See image

* Locate the group you want to leave and visit group, from the top right corner tap on the forward sign you see. See image

* Information about the group will be displayed.
* From the image displayed you can leave group and you may want to prevent others from adding you to the group.

2. Using Your Phone Browser

* Login to your account as usual, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select groups. See image

* Groups you've joined will be displayed, find and select the group you want or you can select more so as to view all groups if the one you want isn't displayed. See image

* Visit the group you want to leave and scroll down to the end of the group and select INFO. See image

* From the image displayed you can leave group and you may want to prevent others from adding you to the group.

3. Using a computer

* Login to your account as usual, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select groups. See image
* View your groups and find the group you want to leave.

* After locating the facebook group you want to leave, see image below for next instruction
